PBKS vs KKR Live Streaming
Shreyas Iyer’s Punjab Kings will take on Ajinkya Rahane’s Kolkata Knight Riders at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur for match 31 of the Indian Premier League 2025, sure to provide an exhilarating spectacle that is not to be missed.
After their disappointing loss against SRH last time out, PBKS are looking to put behind them their recent disappointing showing and move closer towards qualifying for playoffs.
KKR will look to continue their winning run and secure back-to-back wins, following an emphatic win against CSK with Sunil Narine and Quinton de Kock at their best. With players such as Narine and Russell at their peak performance levels, KKR are confident of posting another huge total against an under-performing PBKS side.
As is usual, this match will be broadcast live via JioHotstar app and website in India; and will also be available to view on various OTT platforms worldwide. Kickoff for Tuesday’s match begins at 7:30 pm IST.
As both teams come into this match with two wins under their belt after eight games, it will be a crucial contest for both sides. KKR will look to continue their unbeaten run while moving further up the table; on the other hand, PBKS hopes to secure their spot amongst the top four with an upset.
KKR have enjoyed an unbeaten streak against PBKS in previous meetings, winning 21 out of 33 matches between them – however, PBKS have shown marked improvements recently and could cause an upset result.
Though PBKS boast an impressive line-up, their death bowling continues to cause them trouble as evidenced in their loss against SRH where they struggled to defend a massive total of 245 runs. Furthermore, Lockie Ferguson will no doubt be missed but replacements Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen must step up in his absence in order for their team to avoid defeat.
Mullanpur’s pitch has proven itself an excellent batting venue this season and should provide both teams with plenty of opportunities for fireworks. There is a risk of rain later on, though this should not impede too heavily with play; PBKS should capitalize on this by attacking bowling attacks to put pressure on their hosts.
PBKS vs KKR Live Score
After failing to defend 245 in Hyderabad, PBKS staged one of the greatest comebacks ever seen in IPL history in Kolkata to beat KKR by four wickets courtesy of Yuzvendra Chahal’s amazing four-wicket haul, including two wickets in the final over. Andre Russell provided some stunning blows but it wasn’t enough to save them.
Quinton de Kock and Angkrish Raghuvanshi lead their home team, as fans fill the stadium in support! Quinton de Kock is seen taking charge, which creates excitement amongst spectators; many can sense an upset is on its way! KKR begins slowly; their first over costing them 39 runs with Xavier Bartlett being responsible.
Ajinkya Rahane was caught short of the stumps! Rather than review, he opts to review, but ultimately it was indeed leg before wicket – to much fanfare! Rahane’s wicket provided Punjab with some respite as young Angkrish brought some momentum back into their innings.
Even after an initially slow start, PBKS reached 201-4 in 20 overs thanks to an incredible innings by openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh, who added 120 runs for the opening wicket in just 72 balls! Unfortunately Priyansh fell shortly thereafter before remaining players pushed past 200 runs to reach this score.
At the halfway mark, KKR were looking good at 62/2 but things took an unexpectedly drastic turn with Rahane’s departure. After being given out LBW but choosing not to appeal, Chahal became instrumental in turning things around, producing some spectacular bowling that led to a series of quick wickets for KKR and turning around this match.
Chandigarh fans are electrified! Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi add another 10 runs in the final over. This has to be one of the greatest matches this season!
Ricky Ponting says his heart rate remains elevated following an incredible contest between Australia and South Africa. Although proud of the effort put in by his team, their decision-making with bat was lacking and Yuzvendra Chahal proved himself as an impressive bowler.
Former captain Steven Fletcher spoke out about how unpredictability of T20 cricket would put him off becoming involved at his age, underlining its unpredictable nature. Meanwhile, KKR coach says it is disappointing for them to lose but expresses pride in their team’s fightback and pledges their hard work in order to overcome this setback and come back even stronger in future games.
With six points from four matches under their belt already they now sit sixth on the table and will look to build upon this victory when taking on SunRisers next.
PBKS vs KKR Live Updates
Shreyas Iyer led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to victory in the last edition of IPL; now, however, he will take part in taking revenge at New Chandigarh for them at New Chandigarh – meaning this matchup should produce high scoring action as both teams boast powerful batting lineups.
The hosts will look to end their batting woes that have led them to two consecutive defeats. Their struggling runs on a slow surface at home has necessitated improving batting performances in order to compete against the top four sides in the league.
Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh will be key as Punjab Kings attempt to mount a challenge against KKR’s powerful bowling unit. Together they have posted an impressive 120 off 72 balls partnership so far and keeping up that level of form will prove challenging for KKR bowlers.
Punjab have reached 201/4 after 15 overs thanks to Arya and Prabhsimran’s brilliant half-centuries, scoring 201/4 after 15 overs. Arya made an excellent debut season debut scoring 69 off 35 deliveries while Prabhsimran made up for lost time with an outstanding 83 off 49 deliveries.
Varun Chakaravarthy once again demonstrated his superior batting talent as he conceded only one single and caused Prabhsimran Singh difficulty with his carrom ball, forcing him into playing an off-backfoot slog sweep that resulted in him being caught at deep midwicket.
Ajinkya Rahane was on his way to scoring a fifty, but missed it after going for an unwise slog sweep off Yuzvendra Chahal delivery and losing his balance during an attempted slog sweep – with no review option, the umpire raised their finger instead and Rahane was out for 17 off 17 balls.
Rahane made a serious miscalculation there and should have challenged Venkatesh Iyer’s dismissal due to an LBW decision based on ball tracking data showing impact outside off-stump; Ajinkya Rahane will surely regret this decision for some time to come. Venkatesh Iyer was dismissed while trying to hit Glenn Maxwell with big shots but missed completely, leading him out after 27 balls for 37.
